Toccara Shaundrea Hale

The Toccara S. Hale Foundation was founded by Cassandra Hale Williams who is the mother of Toccara Shaundrea Hale. Toccara made her transition to heaven on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at the age of 37 after a brave 4-year battle with breast cancer. The foundation honors the memory and legacy of Toccara by providing college scholarships and promoting breast cancer awareness.
Toccara is the daughter of Cassandra Hale Williams, Micheal Hale, and Willie James Williams. She is the older sister of DeShondra Hale and Jordan Williams. Her pride and joy are her nieces E'lah and Nariah, and her nephew Shaundre who is her namesake. Toccara accepted Christ at an early age and attended church at The Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia, where she was baptized. She later joined The Siloam Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor John S. Watkins.
Toccara attended Moore Academy for elementary school in Pine Apple, Alabama, and later moved to Mableton, Georgia where she attended Riverside Elementary, Bunch Middle School, and Pebble Brook High School where she graduated in 2000. She attended Macon State University and later graduated from Herzing University in Birmingham, Alabama where she received her certification as a Medical Assistant.
Toccara was employed with the Atlanta Public School System at Peyton Forest Elementary in Atlanta, Georgia as the Parent Liaison. In addition, she was the proud owner of ‘TCara’s Sweet Treats where she loved to design and create an assortment of desserts and treats for her customers, family, and friends. Toccara was known for living her life to the fullest, her strong faith, and loving her family and friends with everything she had. She did not wait for the perfect time for she knew there is no such thing as the perfect time. Toccara lived and enjoyed life in the moment. Thank you for your support of The Toccara S. Hale Foundation, Incorporated! We are honored to carry out this important work in Toccara’s memory.
